Money money money money… Money!
Big surprise, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire a are selling lots and lots of copies.
According to a Siliconera report, the role-playing games’ worldwide sales eclipsed the 3 million mark in just three days. Meanwhile in Japan, Media Create and Famitsu estimate domestic sales totals between 1.32 and 1.53 million.
The titles are currently available in North America, Japan, South Korea, and Australasia, but Europe is still waiting for the game. The launch is scheduled for this Friday, November 28.
To put those numbers into context, last year Pokémon X and Y moved more than 4 million units in two days. It’s important to note that includes the European market, so Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire still have a chance to play catch up.
