Pokémon Go frequently hosts limited-time events, typically only lasting a day or even one hour. That’s why it’s crucial to keep track of the game’s event schedules, or else you may lose out on an exclusive new team member. To stay updated, here’s the current Pokémon Go Community Day schedule for July 2024.
When is the next Community Day in Pokémon Go?
According to the official Pokémon Go page, the next Community Day will be Aug. 31 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time. The featured Pokémon for this event will be the Water type, Popplio. During this time, you’ll see this creature more frequently in the wilds, including a potential Shiny variant. There’s also a Community Day Classic event on Aug. 18 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., which will bring back a past CD exclusive Pokémon.
Once the Pokémon Go August Community Day begins, you can evolve Popplio’s evolution, Brionne, to gain a special attack for Primarina. Doing this will unlock the robust Hydro Cannon with an 80 power stat for Trainer Battles and 90 power for Gyms/Raids. There’s also a grace period if you miss out on the Community Day duration, where trainers can evolve Brionne five hours after its conclusion.
Similar to past Pokémon Go Community Days, a Special Research Story will be available to play. Unlocking it costs one dollar (US), and it provides an exclusive Popplio event.
Popplio Community Day Event Bonuses
While the Community Day is active, you can earn the following rewards:
- 2x Catch Candy
- 3x Catch XP
- 2x Candy XL chances
- 3-hour Lure Modules
- 3-hour Incense (except for Daily Adventure Incense)
- +1 Special Trade from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- 50 percent Trade Stardust cost from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Most bonuses will only be available for the Community Day’s three-hour duration. However, the Special Trades and Stardust discount will have an extension to give you more time. In addition to these bonuses, you can earn Field Research Rewards, such as Stardust, Great Balls, and more Popplio encounters. Trainers can also take some snapshots during the Community Day for a special surprise.
Once the Community Day is over, tune in for another adventure with a time-limited Four Star Raid Battle. Go against Brionne on Aug. 31 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. local time to test your team’s strength. Additionally, more Popplio encounters will trigger for 30 minutes around the Gym, getting you closer to a Shiny variant.
