Top-tier leaker “billbil-kun” is at it again. Not content with having accurately predicted the PlayStation Plus offerings for several months in a row, the Dealabs user has only gone and revealed the titles headed to the paid subscription service in January 2022, which are reportedly Atlus’ Persona 5 Strikers, Codemasters’ Dirt 5, and Ghost Ship’s Deep Rock Galactic.

Released on PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch at the start of this very year, Persona 5 Strikers is a musou-lite sequel to the hugely successful JRPG Persona 5. The action-adventure sees our favorite Phantom Thieves take to the road on a cross-country jaunt of Japan, stopping off at various hot spots and tourist traps to change a few treacherous hearts along the way. Featuring the slick visual style and cool jazz sounds that are a Persona 5 trademark, Persona 5 Strikers is a welcome return to action from messers Joker, Makoto, Ryuji, Lady Ann, Haru, Yusuke, and, of course, Morgan. Fuck Goro Akechi.

For the mud-rippers among you, Dirt 5 is the 2020 chapter of Codemasters long-running rally franchise and offers international off-road racing against such marvelous backdrops as China, Greece, Italy, South Africa, Norway, and the U.S. Boasting Codemasters’ industry-best racing physics, immersive sound, and great visuals, Dirt 5 features all of the skidmark-inducing (grow up) racing action you need, whether engaging in four-player, head-to-head sprints or picking your way through the single-player career mode. Remember, braking is for the weak.

Repping the indie scene is Ghost Ship Games’ Deep Rock Galactic, which was originally released on PC and Xbox in 2020 and will be seeing its PlayStation debut with this PS Plus release. Deep Rock Galactic is a co-operative first-person shooter which sees a party of “space dwarves” as they explore procedurally generated caves — blasting aliens and monsters while bagging loot and resources. Smart teamwork and the utilization of four distinct classes will allow the players to venture further into the untold depths of each planet.

The new titles — yet to be officially confirmed by PlayStation itself — are expected to join the PS Plus service in early January. Until then, December’s offerings of Godfall: Challenger Edition, LEGO DC Super-Villains, and Mortal Shell are still available to download.
