You know, if there’s one thing I’ve liked about Nintendo in the last 10 years, it’s the touchscreens on the Wii U, 3DS, and Switch. They’re pretty responsive, and I’ve loved using them for the Wind Waker remaster (seriously, having a dedicated map screen is lovely,) Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, and Pokémon Picross

Unfortunately, for one title, touchscreen functionality has been cut.

Picross S won’t be using the Switch touchscreen when it releases tomorrow, according to a report by GoNintendo. Players can choose between docked or handheld modes to play in, but regardless of which approach you take, the touchscreen won’t comply.

It’s not an earth-shattering revelation, but, for those who like the novelty of using a touchscreen, it’s good to know going in that it will not be available.

Picross S releases September 28, 2017 for the Nintendo Switch.
