It’s time for rejoicing, fans of all things Shin Megami Tensei. A property many have clamored for has finally been placed on Atlus’ resurrection slate. Yes, Devil Summoner: Soul Hackersonce a game on the Sega Saturn and PSone, it’s now way to the Nintendo 3DS as an enhanced port! Atlus will be smoothing up the animation, adding an anime intro courtesy of Satelight (Macross Frontier, Moretsu Pirates), and technical optimizations.

I don’t know much about the game besides the fact that it’s (obviously) part of the Devil Summoner spin-off franchise, of which the Raidou Kuzunoha titles are part as well. Unfortunately for people into those games’ action-RPG mechanics, Soul Hackers seems to be more standard turn-based fare. There is a sexy android maid named Mary in it, though.
