The opening of the Nine to Five trailer was certainly interesting. Cute, cuddly critters brandishing firearms is absolutely a cartoon I expect to come to Nick Jr. by the end of 2023. But when it pulled back from that glowing intro, we found out it’s actually a team-based co-op shooter where “corporations rule everything” and “being a mercenary is just another job.” According to the CEO of developer Redhill Games, Nine to Five will differ from those other, more chaotic shooters by putting an emphasis on teamwork and the strategic aspects of the gameplay.
