Modder Hasse’s brother can only use his right hand, but he loves to play videogames. this inspired him to make what has to be the most heartwarming controller hack ever: a one-handed Gamecube controller.
His solution was to re-work pieces of several eBay’d Gamecube controllers into one fully functional device. The trick here was to use an accelerometer and a digital-to-analog converter to reassign what you’d normally do on the d-pad to tilts of the controller. He even put in a switch for analog/d-pad preference and LED indicator lights. He also wrote custom software and relocated a trigger button. Wow.
As you’ll see in the video, it all works nicely.
This guy rules.
