I’m ready for Ni No Kuni 2. I was ready when it was supposed to arrive last month. Hell, I was ready the day after I finished the original. As flawed as it was in some areas it provided me with hours of joy, and was one of the few JRPGs in recent years where I just needed to reach a 100% completion rate.

This new trailer for Goldpaw, a venerated casino town, is doing it for me. It’s just an overview of the zone — nothing fancy — but it does the job of highlighting the signature charm of the Ni No Kuni series. What’s really interesting about Goldpaw is that the entire gambling angle is built into their religion of sorts, with high priests (astrologers) rolling dice for trials and public planning meetings.

We’ll be able to see it in-game next month when Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom launches on March 23.
