For those of you who have been waiting patiently for the return of Sam Fisher, sit back and prepare to wait a little longer. In a financial report today, Ubisoft revealed that the upcoming Splinter Cell title has been delayed.
Originally slated for fiscal 2008-09, the title is scheduled to hit during fiscal 2009-10. The game, previously announced as Splinter Cell: Conviction, is simply referred to as Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell in the report. Rumors have perisisted that the previously announced Conviction was in development hell and had possibly been sent back to the drawing board. This delay and Ubisoft obviously avoiding the word “conviction” may lend some credence to said rumors.
Ubisoft have been mum on the title for some time now, and untnil we hear more solid information, it’s likely we’ll be quiet about it too.
