Over 240,000 copies sold to date, one third through eShop

During a press junket following yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo showed off a few of the new maps to follow the commercial and critical acclaimed Fire Emblem: Awakening. Awakening has already seen a steady release of weekly maps for download on the 3DS eShop, but if you you haven’t been keeping track, that’s 16 down with 9 more to go. The first of the remaining nine, Five-Anna Firefight, is already available for download, and will soon be followed with Roster Rescue next week, and Harvest Scramble the next.

For those that have forgotten, the maps are basically side quests, focused on helping you build income, gain XP, and otherwise test your prowess with unique challenges ranging from 3 to 5 stars of difficulty. One interesing little aside they also shared was that nearly one-third of the game’s over 240k sales were digital, with over half of digital purchasers going back to buy the map packs.

So what do you guys think? Are you going to keep picking up DLC, or have you all had your fill?
