Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime has chosen to sidestep the news that the latest Legend of Zelda would release in 2010, instead claiming that fans should not expect the still-in-development Wii game to release until it’s absolutely perfect.
“Right now it’s still in development but the key message that Mr Aonuma and Mr Miyamoto are telling us is that it really has to be perfect when it launches,” says the beefy boss. “That is what the fans are expecting.
“So for all the Zelda fans out there right now, I’d say enjoy Spirit Tracks and know that the Zelda title for Wii is going to come out when it’s perfect.”
Sounds like Reggie is preparing us for the inevitable — the onslaught of delays that seem to accompany any good Zelda game. Perhaps we can expect the game to end up being delayed until it’s brought out on the next console again.
