Nacon, one of Europe’s fastest-growing publishers, has announced that it has established a new development studio in Italy. Nacon Studio Milan will, in part, house Nacon subsidiary RaceWard Studio and will be the site of the racing enthusiast’s future production projects.

“We are proud of the direction we are heading in,” said Nacon Studio Milan’s new CEO, Marco Ponte. “Originally a team of racing experts, [RaceWard] has grown quickly, and our new talent has given us the desire to explore new territory… That’s why we decided to broaden our horizons and try another type of game. We are looking forward to presenting this new project to the world. Our family is growing and we are hoping to welcome new members soon as we build our team.”

Nacon Studio Milan has already begun work on its first project: a survival title based upon “one of the world’s most popular film franchises.” More details on this release will be shared later in 2022.

The establishment of Nacon Studio Milan is the next stage in Nacon’s fledgling growth. The publisher, formerly known as Bigben Interactive, has several young studios within its portfolio, including Greedfall and Steelrising developer Spiders, German developer Daedalic Entertainment, and French studio Cyanide. Nacon’s most recent acquisition was another French firm, Midgar Studio, which it purchased in February of this year.
