My Time at Sandrock multiplayer

My Time at Sandrock multiplayer and cross-platform support coming this summer

Revive the desert with some help from friends

My Time at Sandrock, the second addition to the My Time series and sequel to My Time at Portia, was initially released in November 2023 as a single-player farming game. While Portia remains a single-player game with no immediate plans for multiplayer support, the same can’t be said for Sandrock, with the 2024 Triple-I Initiative revealing plans to introduce multiplayer and cross-platform support this Summer.

As revealed during the Triple-I Initiative, My Time at Sandrock will feature co-op multiplayer and cross-platform capabilities on PC and consoles starting this summer. This update will allow you to play alongside others, even if they’re on different platforms. The announcement video also highlighted multiplayer in action, with four players harvesting scrap piles, fighting enemies, and exploring hazardous ruins as a group.

There are no further details on an exact release date or the maximum number of people you can play with in one world. The showcase featured three other players, suggesting the limit is four players in one playthrough. We can also anticipate the update launching sometime between June and September to fit the Summer release window.

It also doesn’t seem that Sandrock’s predecessor, My Time at Portia, will follow suit with having multiplayer support. This’ll make Sandrock the first in the My Time series to feature both single-player and multiplayer capabilities, with you having the choice of venturing out solo or farming, ruin-diving, and questing with others.
