Despicable.
Warner Bros. has released animated movie Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge, an adaptation of NetherRealm Studios’ ultra-gory fighting franchise, Mortal Kombat. The R-rated movie is available to purchase digitally from various video platforms.
Starring Joel McHale, Jennifer Carpenter, and Steve Blum, Scorpion’s Revenge tells the story of an inter-dimensional fighting tournament, held on a mysterious island by the sinister sorcerer Shang Tsung. Meanwhile, murdered ninja Hanzo Hasashi makes a pact with the necromancer Quan Chi to return to the realm of the living as a vengeance-fueled assassin with exhausting block-strings, Scorpion.
Don’t forget folks, “BAD LANGUAGE.”
Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon has posted a video on his Twitter feed, featuring the movie’s opening ident. This brief opening includes the crossover we’ve all been waiting for, as Warner Bros. superstar Daffy Duck gets dragged to the NetherRealm by Scorpion himself, where the madcap, mallet-bonking antics of Daffy will no doubt go down a fucking treat with the agonized screams of a thousand and one tortured souls.
Please pass the ketchup. I think it’s going to rain, indeed.
Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge is available to purchase digitally. A physical Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD release are scheduled for April 28.
