‘Geralt can jump’ — this is game changing!
When Patrick compiled a list of things he wanted to see changed in The Witcher 3, the gameplay and mechanics were things he felt needed an overhaul. Official Xbox Magazine has gotten some details from some German PC sites that seem to confirm gameplay changes which will hopefully freshen up the franchise.
After confirming a much larger world to play in, OXM is now reporting that horses and boats will be methods of transport in the game, in addition to Geralt being able to climb and jump. A day and night cycle will be included along with hunting options which makes me think that an open-world title like Skyrim must’ve had an effect on the developers.
One thing that Patrick was really keen on was having a save import option to personalize your experience a bit more; there will be one here, but your character’s backstory will remain the same. The Witcher 3 is also looking like it will last 50 hours in total which sounds about right for the franchise so far. So all well and good — we’ll keep looking for official confirmation for these details but this sounds promising.
