One upcoming release that Marvel fans have been looking forward to is Midnight Suns, an upcoming tactical RPG by Firaxis Games, a veteran studio best known for creating the Civilization series. A new trailer for the game during the Disney x Marvel Games Showcase today gave us a new glimpse of what we have to look forward to, as well as finally giving us a release date for later this year. You can play as classic characters like Doctor Strange and Spider-Man, while the game will also introduce a whole host of new or lesser known characters.

The game’s intro was revealed in a video you can watch below: and the Doctor Strange Defenders skin was announced as a pre-order bonus for all platforms.

In addition to the new release date, it was also announced that the game’s creators will be releasing a series of prequel animated shorts that give us a better look into who these characters are within the world of Midnight Suns. The shorts will premiere on October 31, making Halloween even more exciting this year. Here’s the rundown on those:

“Marvel’s Midnight Suns Prequel Shorts is a set of five short videos that provide backstory on how Lilith became the Mother of Demons, and how Super Heroes like Blade, Magik, Ghost Rider and Nico Minoru came together to form the young core of the Midnight Suns.”

Marvel’s Midnight Suns will officially be out on December 2, 2022 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
