Say Uruk-Hai to the new players

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor was by far one of the best games of 2014. With great combat, abilities, and a really interesting Nemesis system, I was really surprised by what I was expecting to be a pretty generic Batman: Arkham Mordor rip-off.

Now, more gamers can brand some Uruks into servitude, as the game has been fully ported to both Mac and Linux. Those who already own the game will get the Linux and Mac copies for free, as is the usual trend for multiplatform games on Steam.

The interesting thing is that while Mac has been slowly growing in popularity as a gaming platform, for one of the biggest games of last year to be released on Linux is potentially a sign of things to come when SteamOS, a Linux-based operating system, really builds its momentum.

It’s also on sale for 50% off to celebrate the release until Monday, so be sure to go buy it because it’s way, way better than it looks.
