Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has gotten a firm North American street date — May 25, 2010.

The title is the direct sequel to the popular Metal Gear Solid 3, putting players in control of Naked Snake. David Daniels, Director of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment believes the title has “serious sales potential.” He also adds that Kojima has “pushed the limits of the PSP system.” Sounds serious.

Designer/director/writer Hideo Kojima thinks the game will make you go out and buy a PSP. Well, will it?
