Sega has released a new trailer for Sakura Kakumei: Hanasaku Otome-tachi (or Sakura Revolution) a mobile spin-off from the tactical anime franchise, Sakura Wars.

Previously known as Project B.L.A.C.K., Sakura Revolution will once again see a team of performing artists take to powerful mech armor in order to fend off inter-dimensional demons hell-bent on ruining their opening night. The new video spotlights the eight members of Sakura Revolution’s heroes: The Imperial Combat Revue B.L.A.C.K.

Taking the stage for this series entry are the previously revealed Prana Tosei, Meisa Akashi, and Kurumi Saimei. They will be joined by starlets Kurea Sekisho, Meju Kazayuki, Tenka Keburai, Miyabi Hanami, and lead gal Shino Sakura. In a novel twist on the Sakura Wars concept, each character’s “Spiricle” mech unit will take the form of super-powered body armor, capable of taking down any nightmare being in brutal melee combat. You can check out the team below.

Despite releasing both an anime prologue and a fist-pumping music video, we are still yet to see Sakura Revolution in action. But based on previously revealed details, it is suggested that the game will feature simple controls and an emphasis on planning and positioning. To my mind, this very much sounds like a Fire Emblem Heroes affair. But we’ll have to wait and see.

Sakura Kakumei: Hanasaku Otome-tachi will in Japan in late 2020 on iOS and Android devices. No western localization has been confirmed as of yet.
