Mario Galaxy 2 launch party has swag and an old man

Recommended Videos

Sounds like the Nintendo World Store’s Super Mario Galaxy 2 launch party is going to rock. A man with cloud-white hair will be there, doing the voice of Mario and confusing people, because even though he sounds like Mario, he doesn’t look like Mario at all. Instead, he looks like an older version of the mouth-sounds guy. For your information, the mouth-sounds guy did the voices on Mamma Don’t Allow; a very important episode of the Reading Rainbow, which is a show that takes place on the hardest level in Mario Kart Wii.

Speaking of Mario games, too bad the voice of Yoshi wont be there too. If he were, the voice of Mario could ride him around the room and make him lick things while the mouth-sounds guy (who also wont be there) did the beatbox, then they could do a little dance. That would be so hot.

While you’re at the event, sitting around wishing that stuff I just described would happen, you can take your picture with Mario and Luigi (no mention of Bucken Berry and Ala-Gold), compete for Mario Galaxy 2 prizes, and get some free gifts or something. The dark irony of all this is that this launch party starts at 11am, while Gamestop stores are opening at 9am on the same day to sell the game to folks a little earlier. Way to fail again Nintendo, with all your multi-billions and world-famous-characters and stuff.
