When LEGO Fortnite was first released, traveling the world required running on foot or getting creative with builds. With cars, you can drive around quickly, allowing you to get from one region to another in no time. Here’s a list of LEGO Fortnite vehicles and how to build them.
How to unlock vehicles in LEGO Fortnite
Unlocking cars in LEGO Fortnite requires crafting a power cell, which you make using six glass and 50 biomass. Once you create biomass in a compost bin and smelt glass using sand, you’ll find a power cell recipe to make in your crafting table. Upon making the power cell, you’ll find your vehicle recipes under Rugged Rollers in the build menu’s builds category.

As of LEGO Fortnite’s Mechanical Mayhem update, you have three car options to build:
- Speeder
- Offroader
- Hauler
Each car ranges in complexity and size, with the Speeder being a small, fast car and the Hauler being a larger, sturdier vehicle. All four have an upfront cost of four wooden rods, and each car requires additional sets of materials in stages. In other words, if you’re slightly low on wooden rods, granite, or other resources, you can pause building midway, gather your items, and finish the last few stages before completing your car.
With that said, here are the materials you need for each vehicle.
Speeder recipe
- Wooden Rod x18
- Cord x8
- Plank x2
- Wood x8
- Granite x9
Offroader recipe
- Wooden Rod x20
- Cord x8
- Flexwood Rod x4
- Wood x34
- Glass x2
- Torch x2
- Plank x9
- Flexwood x16
- Granite x31
Hauler recipe
- Wooden Rod x52
- Wood x102
- Frostpine x30
- Cord x8
- Frostpine Rod x6
- Granite x63
- Glass x2
- Torch x2
- Plank x10
- Flexwood x24
The Speeder is the easiest of these three vehicle types to create, as it only requires items from the Grasslands biome. Building an Offroader requires rarer items like Flexwood, while the Hauler is considered a late-game car only available after exploring the Frostlands.
