Taps into some Spinal fixes, too
Double Helix will release a patch “very soon” that will fix the current known issues with Killer Instinct‘s Jail mode, the game’s penalty for disconnecting before the end of a match. Also included in the update is a series of adjustments to Spinal, the latest addition to Killer Instinct.
As far as the changes made to the Jail system, Double Helix is resetting all Jail statistics, effectively wiping the slate clean. It will also adjust the requisite percentage of disconnects before sending the player to Jail, but the notes don’t mention what that number is. Maybe most importantly, there’s a fix to a bug that caused both players to register as a disconnect if one did it.
The fixes being made to Spinal all concern issues raised in gameplay, most often when divekick is used as an opener. The patch also has lists out some general adjustments that will be made. Double Helix hasn’t given an exact timeline for the update, but users on the forums seem to be reporting that it’s live now.
