Kid Icarus coming to 3D Classics

Kid Icarus is the next game confirmed to hit the 3DS’ “3D Classics” range, and at least it’s a classic this time. A classic that people have tricked themselves into thinking is good despite it being a bit rubbish, but a classic nonetheless.

Nostalgia does funny things to the mind and I should know — I have Haddaway in my playlist.

In Japan, you’ll get Kid Icarus for free by participating in some event or other. That’s a price I can agree with.

With the announcement of Kid Icarus, Nintendo has pledged to increase its 3D Classics output. The line of games has had very little attention given to it since it launched earlier this year, with only a handful of games appearing and all of them being crap.

It’s nice that Nintendo wants to support more of its download service, but I can’t justify spending money on 99% of the NES’ library, whether it’s been given a 3D coat of paint or not. Pretty cool for those who can, though.
