It’s no Unity, but Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate has some fun glitches

Everything is hard to animate

After stumbling upon an Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate video embedded on Facebook wherein an NPC’s carriage inexplicably began to shake violently and then erupt into the sky, leaving too stiff horses horizontal in the street, I remember how hilariously broken Unity was.

Syndicate doesn’t seem as bad, but there are some series’ familiar problems cropping up, some more annoying than others. Most common seems to be invisible character models undercutting the drama in cut scenes, people sitting on nothing, player invisibility, things freaking out and going airborne, guards chasing you while stuck running in place, and, of course, falling through floors.

Brett’s still working on our Syndicate review, so enjoy these until then.
