Will The Crew Motorfest be online only?

Unfortunately, The Crew Motorfest requires an internet connection to play. I turned off the online functionality of my PS5 and was greeted by an error message as I tried to boot up The Crew Motorfest. It says, “Something went wrong” every time. It also throws an error code, NW-102414-2. Perhaps that’s a handy one in case you’re troubleshooting, too.

Offline racing games you can play

It’s a huge bummer that The Crew Motorfest is online only. Thankfully, plenty of other racing games call both consoles and PC home.

One of the best open-world racing games out there is Forza Horizon 5. It’s absolutely gorgeous on an Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, or PC. You can find hidden cars that have been sealed away in forgotten warehouses, drive in stellar racing events, and witness beautiful landmarks around a Mexican-inspired environment. Destructoid gave it an 8.5/10 review.

Furthermore, Forza Horizon 4 is another worth mentioning with its vibrant green fields inspired by Great Britain. Plus, if you’ve got Xbox Game Pass Core it should be available in your library. And for you PS5 owners, Dirt 5 may be the way to go. It sports impressive visuals, split-screen support for local multiplayer, and exciting off-road gameplay. Even if Motorfest wasn’t what you were looking for, there are still plenty of racers to sift through.
