One of the most popular League Starter builds in Path of Exile for some time has been Righteous Fire, or RF. Over many PoE leagues builds have been nerfed and buffed, falling in and out of League Starter build viability. But for the most part, Righteous Fire has been a viable build through all of the leagues. However, new changes in the newest Affliction league have fans wondering if that’s still the case. So is Righteous Fire still a viable League Starter in Path of Exile 3.22 Affliction?
Does Righteous Fire still work?
According to Pohx, the PoE veteran who has essentially mastered the ways of RF and shares the secrets with everyone, RF is certainly a bit more difficult to get going as a League Start build, but it is possible. You can still go with either Inquisitor or Juggernaut, but Inquisitor is recommended. This is due to recent nerfs that apparently result in Juggernaut dealing around 25% less damage.
Keep in mind that even though it’s still viable, RF doesn’t truly get started until around Level 20, even though that’s easy to achieve. Therefore, if you want to play through the Path of Exile Affliction league as the tanky AoE fiend that is Righteous Fire, you can do so.
Which RF build should you use?
Of course, you should still use Pohx’s Righteous Fire Inquisitor build. As I said above, he is the master of RF, and any new challenges from the recent changes he has surely considered when constructing his build. According to Pohx you’ll want to use Rolling Magma or Holy Flame Totem until you reach Level 20 and can switch to Righteous Fire.
In the end, it seems like RF certainly has some new challenges at the start of the league. But is Righteous Fire still a viable League Starter in Path of Exile 3.22 Affliction? It appears so.
