Can we play a Modern Warfare 3 Nintendo Switch port?

As of the time of writing, no Modern Warfare 3 Switch version has been confirmed by Activision. Currently, there are no Call of Duty entries on the popular system.

Past games like Call of Duty Black Ops 2 have been on the Wii U. Heck, even Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare received a motion-controlled port on the Wii. Unfortunately, Modern Warfare 3 continues the streak of no Switch support for the Call of Duty series.

What about that 10-year agreement for Call of Duty on Nintendo systems?

Now that Xbox owns Activision, some may wonder if the Call of Duty series heads to Nintendo systems like Minecraft has. As talks of the acquisition were going over legally, Xbox signed an agreement with Nintendo to bring the Call of Duty series to the Japanese manufacturer’s systems for 10 years.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 doesn’t seem to be a part of that agreement. Xbox only just announced that the acquisition of Activision has been approved. The next Call of Duty will likely come to a Nintendo system of some sort. The rumor is that the Switch’s successor will drop in 2024. This is when the agreement will probably begin.
