Inafune’s Soul Sacrifice for Vita looks rather disturbing

Exploding fingers? Okay, you’ve got my attention, Keiji Inafune and co. Famitsu has a bunch of media and details on Soul Sacrifice, a PlayStation Vita game in development at Marvelous AQL that looks completely twisted in the best possible way.

According to Andriasang’s translation, the game takes place in a book that’s actually a demon. You get to experience the battles contained within these pages, and the premise revolves around sacrificing parts of yourself to gain more powerful magic (e.g., plucking out your eyeball in return for demon eyes that shoot lasers). At least I think that’s what is going on there.

The other noteworthy feature is four-person multiplayer, which could be interesting if you get to sacrifice fellow players; that seems like it could be the case. Look over the aforementioned art, because it’s crazy. The monsters, in particular, are just vile. Burn that winged one with fire!
