I love announcements about announcements. For instance, at this year’s QuakeCon, id Software spoke at the opening press conference and revealed that there would be no Doom 4 reveal … at least, not this year. Giant Bomb reports that the only thing id did say about the game is that there won’t be any announcements regarding it until next year’s QuakeCon. See ya next year!
One small (but really cool) tidbit that leaked out was that Kevin Cloud, id’s co-founder, will be running the Doom 4 project, and since he’s been around since the original Doom, that can only mean good things. A year is a while to wait, but it’s better than having no date to look forward to at all, isn’t it?
