I wish I had made Katawa Crash

This post is already way too much about me and way too little about the story, so how about we take that narcissism as far as we can and see what happens? I’m sad. I can’t get keyboard-controlled Flash games to work on my PC right now. After 10-20 seconds, the controls just stop working. That means I can’t play Rokko Chan or Abobo’s Big Adventure (being played right now on our live stream) for more than a few seconds past their title screens. If you can help me fix that, let me know.

In the meantime, I’ve been playing a hell of a lot of Ultimate Flirt Off! and the game that I’m supposed to be writing about right now — Katawa Crash. It’s a simple “aim and shoot” affair that works more like a random event generator and less like a interactive “game”, but it’s still endlessly fun.

It all starts when you launch a sad man into the air. From there, the man hits various anime, manga, and videogame characters (including a few I actually recognize, like Shinji’s Dad from Evangelion and Chie from Persona 4). Depending on what angle, speed, height that he hits them at, various things may happen. Sometimes it’s Tecmo Bowl things. Sometimes it’s Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 things. Other times, it’s barely anything at all. Regardless of what happens, this game constantly has me on the edge of my seat. It’s basically what I wanted the TtWaV music video to be, but in Flash game form.

Check it out for yourself. I also threw some videos of the game’s more amazing events after the jump if you’re curious. Thanks Mario2Man!
