The goggles do nothing
We didn’t review Velocity 2X for PlayStation 4 or PS Vita, but Hamza did talk about how this half vertical spaceship shooter, half side-scrolling platformer was going to “melt [our] eyeballs.” Hah, that Destructoid dot com — always talking about how videogames will melt people’s body parts.
Velocity 2X does seem cool, though. With help from Sierra, developer FuturLab is going beyond PlayStation Network with new versions of the game for Xbox One, Windows, Mac, and Linux.
When they arrive this summer, these ports will pack daily challenge stages as well as all of the bonus stages from the Critical Urgency and Dual Core DLC packs. The studio said its relationship with the publisher “doesn’t end with Velocity 2X,” and then it used a winky face. ( ゚o゚)
Also, this: “FuturLab still loves PlayStation and its loyal players, and we’ll continue to work closely with Sony to make sure the fan base we’ve worked hard to build is well served.”
