There are several secret archetypes to in Remnant 2, and Summoner is perhaps one of the easiest to unlock. You can unlock the Summoner archetype entirely in the world of Yaesha. More specifically, you will need to have access to a Bloodmoon Altar which randomly spawns outdoors.
This is how to unlock the Summoner archetype in Remnant 2.
How to unlock the Summoner archetype
Once you find a Bloodmoon Altar on Yaesha, you will see several items available to craft. In order to unlock the Summoner, you need to craft the Faded Grimoire. To craft the Faded Grimoire you will need the following crafting materials:
- 15 Blood Moon Essence
- 5 Lumenite Crystal
- 1,500 Scrap
The Scrap is easy, as it drops from most enemies when defeated. You can also find it in the various chests scattered around each of the worlds. The Lumenite Crystals drop off any of the Elite enemies that you encounter throughout Remnant 2. You will probably have enough of these on you, but if not, you can also purchase them from Ace in Ward 13 for 500 Scrap. However, Ace will not always have them in stock, and can take several hours to restock them.
Finally, is the Blood Moon Essence. This special crafting material can only be obtained by killing Blood Moon Orbs during the Blood Moon event on Yaesha. 15 is a relatively easy amount to obtain, but if you need further assistance obtaining it check out our Blood Moon Essence farming guide.
Once you have the materials and craft the Faded Grimoire, you will need to take the item to the NPC Wallace in Ward 13. With the Faded Grimoire you can craft the Tome of the Bringer Engram which will unlock the Summoner archetype!
Is Summoner a good archetype in Remnant 2?
This is always a somewhat objective question, but overall the Summoner can be a great archetype in Remnant 2. The Summoner focuses on commanding minions to do all of their dirty work. Through their skills, Summoners can also enrage minions giving them increased damage, attack speed, and movement speed. Furthermore, a Summoner can sacrifice their minions to empower their own attacks.
There are three unique minions that the Summoner can materialize: the Root Hollow, Flyer, and Reaver. Each of these minions has its own unique strengths and weaknesses as well as health and damage.
If you are creating a new character with the Summoner archetype you will start with the Knotted armor set. This set does not have any specific bonuses but does provide a fair amount of armor and Toxin resistance.
Furthermore, as a Summoner you will start with the Crossbow Long Gun, the MP60-R Hand Gun, and the Rebellion Spear as your melee weapon.
If you are a fan of summoning minions to do your bidding, the Summoner is a great archetype for you.
