The Dark Place is dangerous and filled with nightmarish terrors. Fortunately, Alan can use light to defend himself. Sometimes, that isn’t enough and you’ll have to resort to using weapons.
One of the most powerful weapons you’ll acquire is the double-barrel shotgun. It has a large area of effect, so you can use it to blow enemies back and give yourself some breathing room. Read on to learn how to acquire the double-barrel shotgun in Alan Wake 2.
Double-barrel shotgun in Alan Wake 2
You’ll encounter the double-barrel shotgun when Alan discovers the Overlook Hotel. This occurs in Chapter: Initiation 5. Outside the entrance to the hotel, you’ll find an outdoor bar.
Head to the bar, but have your flashlight ready because there are Taken lurking. Stand under the lights near the bar and use Alan’s Angel Torch to change the environment.
You’ll notice that the bar has changed, allowing you to go behind the counter. Once you’re there, use your Angel Torch again and the bar’s interior will change. You’ll find the shotgun on a wall rack. While you’re here, remember to read the menu on the wall, as it contains the code you need to enter the Overlook Hotel.
Saga and Alan have different weapons, so you’ll have to find Saga her own guns when you play her sections. Don’t forget to also collect Words of Power and Charms to improve Saga and Alan’s stats respectively.
