The world of Losomn inĀ Remnant 2 is full of puzzles with unique rewards. One of these puzzles comes in the form of a Chess-like game. This puzzle can be found in the optional side region of Postulants Parlor in Losomn. Once here, you will navigate through several rooms of enemies until you reach a room with a Fae sitting at a table with an ominous board game. This is the Postulants Parlor Chess puzzle.
At a glance, this puzzle can be quite tricky. The goal is to get three of your white pieces in a row before your opponent gets three of his black pieces in a row. If you fail and lose the game, you receive some stacks of corruption, which actually lower your healable health pool. Thankfully, there is a cap on this, and you will no longer incur corruption stacks after five losses. This is how to solve the Postulants Parlor Chess puzzle in Remnant 2.
Postulants Parlor Chess puzzle solution
Once you sit down, you should see a board similar to the screenshot above. A lot of things in Remnant 2 are randomized, but oddly enough, I don’t think this puzzle is. These are the moves you will want to make to successfully complete this puzzle.
- Move your middle piece to the top middle. Afterward, your opponent should move his piece from the bottom right to the middle.
- Next, you want to move your bottom middle piece to the bottom left. Your opponent should respond by moving his left piece up to the top left.
- From here, move your bottom left piece into the left spot. The opponent should then move his middle piece to the bottom left, which is perfect for you.
- Now, move your top middle piece back down to the middle. You should now have three in a row, and at this point, you have solved the Postulants Parlor Chess puzzle correctly!
How to obtain Royal Hunting Bow in Remnant 2
Once you have beaten your Fae opponent in the Postulants Parlor Chess puzzle, you should hear a heavy door moving. Standing up from the chessboard, you should see a new opening behind your opponent. Head in there to find the Royal Hunting Bow weapon.
The Royal Hunting Bow goes in your primary Long Gun slot. It deals a high amount of damage but has just a single arrow for its magazine. After each shot, you will have a brief reload period while you nock another arrow. You can also hold down the attack button to charge up the arrow once you pull it back.
Furthermore, the Royal Hunting Bow has increased critical and weak spot damage, making it a great weapon if you have good aim.
