How to scan your face for NBA 2K25 MyPlayer

Good way to personalize your in-game looks

NBA 2K25 is now live on early access, and one of the coolest things to do with your MyPlayer is to give him your face.

While you can customize the looks of your in-game persona as much as you like, it’s a different ball game altogether to make him look just like you. If you have played NBA 2K24, you’ll pretty much know the process. If you’re someone new, read on to find out how to add your real-life face to the game this year.

NBA 2K25 MyPlayer face scan guide

There are two different tasks when it comes to adding your face in NBA 2K25.

  • Scanning your face.
  • Use the scanned face to update your MyPlayer face.

The first part is pretty simple, and you’ll need the help of the MyNBA 2K Companion app. This app is free, and it’s available on both iOS and Android.

  • Create your MyPlayer account.
  • Make sure that it’s connected to both NBA 2K25 and MyNBA 2K Companion app.
  • A series of instructions will prompt. Just follow them.
  • Make sure your face is in a lighted space, and don’t move your head unless required.
  • Keep the phone at an approximate 18″ distance.
  • When turning your face to the side, make sure to turn 45 degrees, and do it slowly.
  • This should ensure a proper scan of your face.

How to change your MyPlayer face in NBA 2K25?

Once the scan is done, next comes the task of changing your MyPlayer’s in-game face.

  • Start the game and load up MyCareer mode.
  • Load into MyCity with your MyPlayer.
  • Pause and go to the Nav menu. Then, select the Appearance option under the MyPlayer tab.
  • Go to the Appearance tab.
  • Select the ‘Scan Your Face’ option, and it will insert the scanned face from your NBA 2K Companion app.

That’s all you have to do to make your MyPlayer look just like you inside NBA 2K25.
