How to reroll in Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis

Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis may look like a FF7 remake at first glance, but it is very much a gacha game. After you complete the first mission, you’ll be taken to the main menu and quickly find a tour of the game’s basic features. Part of this process involves taking your first gacha pulls, which will give you a variety of weapons for your main characters to equip. That said, if your first pulls are all hot garbage, you might want to reroll your entire account in Ever Crisis. Or maybe you just want to start your account with as many rare weapons as you can get.

Fortunately, Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis makes it relatively easy to reroll. First. close the game and reopen it to return to the main menu. Next, tap the button next to “Notices” on the top-right side of the screen and press “Reset Game Data.” This will delete your current account, so make sure you’re comfortable with losing your progress. Begin the game again, and press “Yes” when the game asks to skip the tutorial. Enter your name and you’ll return to the in-game main menu, where you can redo your first pulls.

Keep in mind that, by skipping the tutorial, you won’t get the treasure chest rewards from the first mission. Once you land on an account you’re happy with, make sure to go back and collect those chests.

Will you still get pre-registration rewards if you delete your account in Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis?

Yes! No matter how many times you delete your account in the game, you’ll still receive all new player rewards. Even the 12-hour Cloud-Exclusive draw ticket will refresh, though do note that this costs real money. After all, if you’re here learning how to reroll, you’re probably trying to save money.

In short, all you’ll lose by deleting your progress is, well, your progress. You don’t even have to redownload data, which saves a ton of time here.

The best way to reroll in Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis

Of course, restarting your account is easy, but efficiently rerolling is a bit more complicated. You can simply repeat your tutorial 10-pull and aim for a good pull there. However, you’ll want to start off with a few more weapons than that, so you should aim for an overall strong account to start with. Fortunately, those aforementioned pre-registration rewards will help us here. Here’s what you need to do.

1: After your tutorial pull, tap through the tutorials and skip the banner preview advertisements. This will take about a minute.

2: Tap the “gifts” button on the right side of the screen. Select “Claim All” to lap up those pre-registration rewards.

3: Tap the “Draw” button on the left side of the screen. You now have enough resources to perform one ten-pull on the Featured Banner and 30 pulls on the Ticket banner.

Do note that, while you technically have enough for a ten pull and change on the Featured banner, you only want to use 10-pulls here. 10-pulls award you stamps on your stamp card, which is your only way to get costumes that will boost your characters’ stats. Meanwhile, feel free to single-pull using Tickets if you want, as there is no particular benefit for 10-pulling there.

Now, as for whether you want to use all your resources or save them for later, that becomes a matter of strategy. Let’s go over the different approaches you can take.

Should you reroll for stamps on the stamp card?

As mentioned above, 10-pulls on the Featured banner will fill out your stamp card, giving you guaranteed rewards and potentially new rare costumes. You can get up to 12 stamps in one 10-pull, theoretically letting you start the game with a costume. However, the odds of this happening are so low that you really shouldn’t aim for it.

In short, you only have a .01% chance of getting 12 stamps in one 10-pull. Even earning 6 stamps only has a .55% chance of happening. Rerolling for either of these outcomes is so rare that I can only recommend it to people who are playing multiple instances of the game and don’t mind grinding this process for literal hours. Honestly, even earning 4 stamps in one 10-pull is a lucky outcome.

That said, if you do happen to stumble on earning 6 or 12 stamps in one roll, I’d consider keeping that account. I’d only discard it if you can’t muster up other 5-Star weapons in your other pulls to go along with it.

What should you reroll for in Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis?

At this point, the game is too new to know how the meta will shake out. So for the time being, I’d aim for quantity over quality. The exception, however, is if you have a favorite character you know you’d like to use. In this case, absolutely prioritize drawing at least one 5-Star weapon for them.

If there is one weapon you should reroll for, it’s the Fairy Tale staff for Aerith. This will give you early access to Curaga, which heals your entire party. If you want to push content into harder content earlier, then this will help you out quite a bit.

5-Star weapons have a 7.5% chance to appear in the gacha, which is technically generous by gacha standards. Do note, however, that you’ll strengthen weapons by collecting duplicates of them, so getting a truly maximum power weapon is much rarer than these odds seem. Again, it’s still too early to tell if going all-in on one weapon is better than having a greater selection of weapons to use.

As for how many 5-Star weapons would be “good” to start with, that’s really up to your level of patience. If you use 30 weapon tickets on top of your tutorial pull and have four 5-Star weapons to show for it, I’d say that’s rather good. If you find more than that, I’d firmly put you on the lucky side. Just keep in mind that all of this is elective. Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis is a PvE game, so if the reroll process is making you lose your mind, feel free to just play the game and don’t worry about this.

Should you use your rare summon tickets now or later?

In addition to your regular tickets, you’ll also start with a guaranteed 5-Star weapon ticket. As you play and earn starter rewards, you’ll find many more vouchers and tickets like this. Of course, with the way power creep works in gacha games, should you use these now or later?

The short answer is that it’s up to you. I don’t think you’ll put yourself in a hole using these resources now, especially if you aren’t sure if you’ll play the game in the long run. That said, you can also use the tried-and-true gacha method of only pulling when you need power. If you’re already perfectly clearing content in the game, then more powerful gear is just piling on the beatdown you’re already inflicting.

However, if you come to a wall in the game, then that might be a good time to use some of the free resources you’ve saved up. The advantage of this is that you might know what you want to specifically target this way, as well as what characters you want to deck out for where you’re at. The disadvantage is that you might not wind up with the weapon or costume you wanted anyway. Such is the nature of gacha games.

In short, do what feels right for you and your enjoyment of the game. Just know that no game is worth killing your wallet over, and you most likely won’t “ruin” your account no matter what path you choose. Enjoy the game, and may RNG be with you!
