The latest chapter in the Call of Duty series is ready to unfold, and there’s plenty of cause for excitement in the gaming community. If you managed to participate in the beta sessions held earlier in the year, you will have a fair idea of what to expect. That said, the full game experience will be absolutely different, so let’s take a look at how you can download all the files ahead of the full launch on October 24.

How to preload Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on PlayStation?

The act of pre-downloading all the files on your PlayStation console is super easy.

  • Turn on your console and go to the PSN store.
  • Search up the Call of Duty app. If you’ve played other COD titles in the past, you can just open the HQ app. If you haven’t done so, search for “COD HQ” in the PSN store (the same rule applies to Xbox consoles).
  • Choose Options, and go to ‘Manage Game Content’.
  • Select Black Ops 6.
  • Choose Install.

Make sure to purchase one of the available editions of the game before the pre-download can begin.

How to preload Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on Xbox?

The steps for pre-downloading the game on your Xbox console are the same as those on PlayStation.

  • Go to the COD HQ app.
  • Press Start.
  • Select Manage Game and Add-Ons.
  • Select the Black Ops 6 files that you want to download.

How to preload Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on PC?

PC can be the most complicated type when it comes to downloading the file. There are three different ways to play the game on this platform, including Xbox Game Pass membership. If you’re playing via the Game Pass, you’ll need to download the game via the Xbox app. Once you have that installed, open the app and complete the following steps.

  • Search Black Ops 6.
  • Select the Standard Edition.
  • Choose to Pre-Install, and the files should automatically download to your selected drive.

If you purchased your copy on Steam, here’s how to download all the necessary files before the game’s launch.

  • Find the HQ app on your Steam library.
  • Select Settings.
  • Choose Properties.
  • Select DLC.
  • Select all the files related to Black Ops 6 present on this list.
  • Start the download.

If you’ve purchased the game on Battle.net, complete the following steps.

  • Go to Settings after choosing Call of Duty.
  • Select ‘Modify Install’, and a drop-down menu will appear.
  • Go to Content and choose Modify Install once again.
  • Select all the Black Ops 6 content and press Install.
  • Press ‘Start Update,’ and the download will start.

Make sure to have at least 105 GB of storage space available on your systems to download all the required game files. This year, you can select the files you want to download and keep, allowing you to better manage your system’s storage requirements.
