Jimmy Neutron in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is one of the most unique characters in the game. Here’s how to handle all of his gadgets.
Tips and tricks with Jimmy Neutron in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2
The Boy Genius Jimmy Neutron has all manner of tricks under his tiny sleeve in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. First, let’s talk about his pet robot dog Goddard. You can control him by pressing down + special and pressing that combination again. He can operate through the air, even off-stage. He has a bite (normal attack) that can push foes back quite a distance. If placed properly, Goddard could confirm a stock loss. Additionally, the robot dog can fire lasers diagonally if you press the special button.
Jimmy has an outstanding recovery. He has a hover car that lifts a great distance. There is a timer on it, but there are more than enough seconds to get back to the stage. Keep in mind, however, that there’s a longer transition time between landing on Jimmy’s feet and getting off the hover car. Try to land somewhere no player can get you.
Jimmy’s best attacks, and how to win
One of the Boy Genius’ best attacks is his Super Bubblegum-Mobile (jump + down + strong attack). He bounces up and down, hitting foes underneath him multiple times. It’s hard to counter, and it does 13-15 damage each time it lands.
Additionally, Jimmy’s juggling move the Jar of Unstable Molecules (Up + normal attack) is great. Similar to Mario’s upward punch in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, you can do this multiple times getting a decent amount of damage. You can also follow it up with the Girl-Eating Plant (Up + strong attack) or a Bouncy Kick (Up + normal attack).
Another tactical advantage could be Jimmy’s Quick Freezing Nitride Solution (down + strong attack). It creates a pool of ice in front of the scientist, causing players to have reduced movement. It’s also a fantastic smash attack if you want to eliminate foes.
A fantastic way to keep enemies away from Jimmy is his Intelligent Purple Flurp Rocket Launching Module 3000 (special button). It launches a rocket toward the Boy Genius’ foe. You can also affect its trajectory by moving the analog stick up or down immediately after performing the attack.
You’ll get the hang of it after playing him a few times
Jimmy’s a fairly difficult character to master, but if you can learn his combos and setups with Goddard, he might be a tough scientist to defeat, despite his small size. We’ve also gone over how to play as Aang if you’re interested. Personally, I think the Airbender is a better, more approachable character than Jimmy.
