How to open the Mythic Nightshift Forest Vault in Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 6 has arrived just in time for 2024’s end, full of supernatural forces, powerful warriors, and adorable forest sprites. You can also find numerous secrets, with the Nightshift Forest Vault being one of many places that give you rare rewards while completing weekly and story quests.

How to enter the Nightshift Forest secret vault in Fortnite

There are three steps to getting the Mythic vault key and entering the Nightshift Forest secret vault:

1. Visit a Sprite Shrine in Nightshift Forest (Optional)
2. Find a Sprite in Nightshift forest
3. Show the Sprite to the Bushranger

Sprites are small mystical creatures you’ll find around Fortnite’s map. You can use various shrines to locate their respective sprite. Collecting a sprite lets you return it to their shrine or hold onto it for their active abilities, but in this case, we want to keep them until we find Bushranger.

Nightshift Forest Sprite Shrine location

Your first goal is to enter Nightshift Forest and locate a Sprite Shrine. Although this technically isn’t required to get the vault key, it’ll help you find sprites easier. You’ll spot several in Nightshift Forest, with each one emitting a beacon to signal their location.

Just watch out, as they can also appear in other areas around Fortnite’s map. Stay close to Nightshift Forest for this particular challenge to make things easier on yourself later.

Once you find and interact with a sprite shrine in Nightshift Forest, it’ll reveal nearby sprites using colored icons and character outlines, making them easier to spot while traveling around the area. You can do this in any region for quick and easy sprite collecting, but to find the vault, we’ll focus our attention on Nightshift Forest.

Bushranger location

Once you collect a sprite, head to the fox shrines scattered around Nightshift Forest until you find Bushranger. There are several of these areas, including one south of the piers and directly south of the vault. You’ll spot small buildings on your map and a dialogue box icon as you get closer to either location, indicating that Bushranger is nearby.

After talking to Bushranger and showing them the Sprite, they’ll give you a Mythic quality Vault Key, which you can use to unlock Nightshift Forest’s locked vault.

Nightshift Forest vault location

Now that you have the vault key, it’s time to collect your rewards. Head to the center of Nightshift Forest toward the massive building on your map. Directly east of the main castle is a massive staircase leading to the vault door. It’s closed at the moment, but using your key will unlock its entrance for you and any player who stumbles upon the area.

Inside the vault is a shrine holding a Typhoon Blade and several rare chests for you to open. You’ll also find plenty of Slurp barrels if you’re low on health and need a quick pick-me-up.
