How to open Training Dummy chests in Wuthering Waves

Any treasure chests in Wuthering Waves surrounded by three small pillars correspond to three nearby training dummies. Training dummies spawn near these chest types, and you have to hit them until they open to activate the pillars and unlock the chest. You’ll also activate a tutorial the first time you approach one of these, indicating exactly what they look like and their general purpose.

Usually, these training dummies spawn close to the chest, making it easy to spot and hit them without traveling far away for one treasure. For example, the first one you’ll likely spot just after the sensor quest location has two along the main path and one behind the treasure chest. However, others will have completely different spots, so keep an eye out for any that may be hidden in the terrain or locked behind some puzzles.

While the tutorial tells you that hitting all three completes your training, it doesn’t detail what this entails. Each time you hit a training dummy, one of the small pillars surrounding the chest will turn blue. Your goal is to find all three and hit them to activate the pillars, unlocking the treasure chest and allowing you to loot it for valuables. Typically, the chests contain a small amount of Astrite and other assorted goodies, making it worthwhile to complete if you want extra Convene pulls.
