How to meditate in Type Soul

It's time for a nice break.

Shinigami and Soul Reaper types possess the power to meditate. This ability serves as the gateway into the Shikai World, a realm of immense significance in Type Soul. However, this technique is not immediately accessible, which is why we’re here to guide you on how to unlock and use meditate in Type Soul.

How do you meditate in Type Soul?

To meditate in Type Soul, reach Grade 2, and then hit the ‘M’ key while wielding a weapon or using a fighting stance (‘E’ key). Although the meditation button may seem accessible from the start, it will only unlock after reaching Grade 2. Once unlocked, your character can enter a meditation stance, with mysterious texts appearing around the screen.

If you encounter the notification ‘Not enough Shikai EXP’ while meditating, you may need to participate in more quests to accumulate the necessary experience points. However, this prompt may also disappear after restarting the game, as this worked for me. In such cases, you can safely ignore it and continue meditating in Type Soul.

Meditations last roughly five minutes, and your character will begin to stand by the end. Try this within your Division quarters to keep you safe from other enemies. Players can meditate as much as they like, which can help them enter the Shikai World.

How to enter Shikai World in Type Soul

Players can enter the Shikai World by completing a full meditation four times (until your character stands up). After the first three meditations, a prompt to try a new power will appear. Enter the meditation state for the fourth time, and you will be transported to the Shikai World, where new challenges and abilities await.

Speak to the Shikai and defeat them to earn unique abilities. The event offers more new styles and leads to the Bankai pathway.
