How to have a baby with the Grim Reaper in The Sims 4

The Grim Reaper is one of the most feared entities in history, as well as in The Sims 4. He comes whenever death calls, to ferry souls to the afterlife and beyond. So, of course, there are simmers who are interested in having a baby with him.

Sadly, it’s not exactly straightforward how to actually get Grim to impregnate your Sim like it is with Father Winter or other NPCs. That’s why we’re here, so your Sim can have as many Grim Reaper babies as their heart desires.

How to get pregnant by the Grim Reaper in The Sims 4

First things first, you need to get the Grim Reaper to show up by having a Sim die. Once he does, open up the cheat console using CTRL + Shift + C on PC, Command + Shift + C on Mac, or hitting all four shoulder buttons on console. Turn on testing cheats by typing ‘testingcheats on’ and hitting enter.

Shift-click on the Grim Reaper when he’s on your active lot and choose to add him to your active Sim’s family. He’ll now no longer disappear as soon as he’s done reaping the departed soul. 

In order to unlock all the normal Sim interactions with him, you’ll need to cheat again. Open the cheat console and enter ‘traits.remove_trait IsGrimReaper’. This will essentially take away his Grim Reaper status so he can be interacted with like any other Sim and do things other Sims can like go fishing.

From there, simply get pregnant the good old-fashioned Sims way — build up your Sim’s relationship with Grim, and once their relationship level is high enough, choose to try to have a baby with him. 

Sadly, there is no way to have a baby with the Grim Reaper without cheats. You’ll need to use them if you want Grim for your baby daddy.

How to have a child with the Grim Reaper in The Sims 4

Now that your Sim is pregnant by the Grim Reaper, you can continue playing normally. There’s nothing special about the pregnancy, as it will last the same amount of time and deliver the same way as any other Sim baby. 

You are free to keep the Grim Reaper in your family and be a good husband and father to the little one. However, you can also choose to send him on his way by reversing the cheats. Enter ‘traits.equip_trait IsGrimReaper’ and shift-click on him to remove him from the active household. This will let the Grim Reaper return to his active duties. 

Unfortunately, unlike some NPCs, your newborn won’t get any special traits or abilities from being fathered by Grim. They will be a pretty normal Sim. However, he does have specific genetics he can pass on, like skin and eye color.
