Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is coming in November, and Activision has surprised fans with the announcement that a new Zombies mode is on its way. Okay, that was a joke. Naturally, the ever-famous Zombies mode typically shuffles its way onto a new CoD every year we get one. And you can get a head start on the zombie action a month early. Picking up Modern Warfare 3 allows you to use the Zombie Ghost Operator as soon as today.
I suppose it’s appropriate that a Modern Warfare 2 character named Ghost is returning from the dead. It would probably be too on the nose for him to come back as a specter, right? The Operator was announced alongside all the juicy details pertaining to the updated Zombies. Modern Warfare 3 is going beyond with its Zombies mode, enhanced with a cinematic story campaign. Activision has been gladly showing it off, dangling “Soap” MacTavish’s involvement in the lore.
Ghost returns as a Zombie Operator in Modern Warfare 2 and 3
To get the Ghost Zombie Operator, you need to pre-order Modern Warfare 3. If you do, you can unlock the skin immediately for use in both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. Naturally, you can continue using the operator once MW 3 arrives. Ghost’s zombie form is appropriate for Season 6, which is themed in horror. Not only can you get the DOOM weapon bundle, but you can rock that Super Shotgun as Ash Williams, Spawn, or Skeletor.
Here are the ways to unlock Zombie Ghost via Activision:
- If you preorder before the start of Modern Warfare II Season 06, Zombie Ghost will be available for you to use on September 27.
- If you preorder after September 27, Zombie Ghost will be available for you to use immediately.
- The Zombie Ghost Operator Skin can be used in Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: WarzoneTM, and will carry forward, meaning it will also be available in Modern Warfare III, starting at game launch.
Pre-ordering Modern Warfare 3 also gives you access to the online beta, which runs October 7-10 (PlayStation) and October 12-16 (all platforms).
