There are a whole host of sidequests you can find while you journey through the story of Black Myth: Wukong. As soon as you start, there are multiple ones you can pick up and complete to your heart’s content for a slew of rewards.
The Turtle Tear quest can be found in Chapter Three, granting you a sweet Soak if you complete it. If you’re having trouble locating the Turtle Tear and completing the side quest, we’re here to help.
Where to find the Turtle Tear in Black Myth: Wukong
The Turtle Tear will appear at the North Shore of the Bitter Lake Keeper Shrine after defeating the Apramana Bat. To get to this boss, you need to follow the right path. When you arrive at the North Shore, go right to the water and follow the shore.
You’ll come across some massive snake skeletons in the snow. Keep going and you’ll find the main body, where the skull of the snake skeleton is. This is where the Apramana Bat will appear and attack you on sight.
Be aware that this boss will only appear so long as Zhu Bajie is with you, who joins you when you travel to the North Shore. If you go too far on the shore and lose Zhu Bajie, this boss will not show up at all, so be aware it’s possible to entirely miss him.
Luckily, this boss fight shouldn’t be too difficult. Try keeping the Apramana Bat on the ground instead of in the sky, and you won’t have trouble taking him down. He’ll shoot many ranged attacks at you, so use the Immobilize spell to your advantage and keep the bat close.Â
Once you’ve defeated the Apramana Bat, interact with the large skeleton at the skull. The Turtle will shed a tear that falls along the shore of the Bitter Lake. This is the Turtle Tear you’re looking for.
Reward for Turtle Tear quest in Black Myth: Wukong
Now that the tear has been shed, you can head to where it fell on the ground. It’s hard to miss, as it glows a green-blue color all around the area. If you are having trouble, though, go directly under the Turtle’s head.Â
Pick it up, and you’re given the Soak. This Epic Soak recovers a moderate amount of Mana for you when you use the Gourd at full health. It’s great for Mana until you get further into the game, so you should consider picking up the Turtle Tear. Overall, the quest is not difficult and gives you a solid item for your trouble.
