How to get the Rosary of Redemption in Octopath Traveler 2

An item with its own redemption arc

Recommended Videos

At first glance, the Rosary of Redemption looks like an utterly worthless accessory in Octopath Traveler 2. Equipping it grants a hefty debuff of 60 points to your Phys. Atk. and Critical stats, with no positive aspects to compensate. By itself, you quite literally are better off equipping nothing at all than using the Rosary of Redemption.

However, there’s one accessory that makes the Rosary of Redemption pretty rad: Blessing in Disguise. Blessing in Disguise converts negative stats on equipment into positive stats, turning the Rosary of Redemption into one of the best accessories for the early to mid-game. We’ve talked about where you can find the Blessing in Disguise, but what about the Rosary of Redemption itself?

Fortunately, you don’t have to try hard to find this thing. By the end of my playthrough, I naturally found six Rosary of Redemption accessories. You’re bound to trip over one by the time you find the Blessing in Disguise, but in case you don’t, here’s where you should look.

Where to find the Rosary of Redemption.

One of the easiest and earliest places you can find the Rosary of Redemption is in the Abandoned Village. This place is located on the eastern continent, to the east of the New Delsta Flats zone. There’s not much to see here, but you will find a couple NPCs hanging around that you can interact with. Explore during the daytime and you’ll see an older Traveler near the middle of town. Use Throne’s Steal or Partitio’s Purchase to get a Rosary of Redemption from him.

Coincidentally, you can also buy as many Rosary of Redemption accessories as you want, and you don’t have to move very far to do it. If you travel west from the Abandoned Village into the New Delsta Flats, you’ll be right next to where the Black Market spawns. New black markets appear every evening, so keep shuffling between day and night until the accessory vendor appears. You’ll find the Rosary of Redemption here for purchase, at the low price of 3,000 leaves.

As mentioned, you’ll naturally find the Rosary of Redemption in many places throughout your journey. However, if you still don’t have one by the time you find Blessing in Disguise, those are reliable spots for you to get that powerful synergy going. Best of luck, traveler!
