In Phase 4 of WoW Season of Discovery, Rogues have the opportunity to get a brand new insanely good weapon called the Shadowflame Sword. The epic quality Sword goes in the Off Hand slot and comes with an Equip Effect that boosts your damage when Blade Flurry is active. Here is how to get the Rogue Shadowflame Sword in WoW Season of Discovery Phase 4.
How to get the Shadowflame Sword Rogue Weapon
Obtaining the Shadowflame Sword Rogue Weapon in WoW Season of Discovery Phase 4 will require you to obtain a specific piece of loot off the penultimate boss in the Molten Core raid, craft or buy a specific weapon, farm some upgrade materials, and head into Blackrock Depths. It’s certainly not a quick process, but if you know exactly what you need to do, it’s a relatively straightforward process. Here is how to get the Shadowflame Sword Rogue Weapon in WoW Season of Discovery Phase 4:
- Obtain the Shadowflame Skull Unique-Equipped Rogue item from the Chest of Treasures for defeating Majordomo Executus in the Molten Core raid.
- Craft or buy the Epic Quality Blackguard Sword Weapon off the Auction House. Note that crafting it requires Exalted Thorium Brotherhood reputation and for you to be a Master Swordsmith.
- Gather the following materials to upgrade the Blackguard weapon using 2 Lava Core, 25 Firelands Embers, and Honored Reputation with Thorium Brotherhood.
- Bring the materials and the Blackguard Sword to the Grim Guzzler in Blackrock Depths and speak to Lokhtos Darkbargainer. As long as you are Honored with Thorium Brotherhood, he will let you trade the Blackguard and required materials for the Implacable Blackguard.
- Right-click on your Shadowflame Skull to combine the Shadowflame Skull and Implacable Blackguard which creates the Shadowflame Sword!
Is the Shadowflame Sword worth using?
The Shadowflame Sword is an extremely powerful weapon option for non-Mutilate Rogues in WoW Season of Discovery Phase 4, primarily due to its weapon effect. It’s also a very fast weapon with its 1.2 Attack Speed, making it a solid option for Rogues. However, the main strength of this weapon is its effect: When equipped, activating Blade Flurry engulfs you in Shadowflame, causing your attacks to ignore 2000 of your target’s armor. It’s a huge damage buff window and also comes with a really cool shadow flame effect on the Rogue when this happens.
