The Facet of Bravery is one of the many pieces of your Prismatic Subclass in Destiny 2 that will unlock some of the most powerful builds in the game. However, you’ve got to find it before you can use it, and unlike most of the others, it’s hidden in plain sight.

You might already have the Facet of Bravery if you’re the type of Destiny 2 player who explores every nook and cranny during a mission. With that said, I usually do that, and I missed this one completely. It’s hidden off-the-beaten-track in one of the main campaign missions for The Final Shape, and I’d be genuinely surprised if you’ve found it with no help.

How to get the Facet of Bravery in Destiny 2

Below, I’ve outlined how to get the Facet of Bravery in Destiny 2 in easy-to-follow steps. The first thing you must do is restart The Final Shape campaign mission Ascent. You can do this by selecting the campaign on the right-hand side of The Pale Heart‘s map and then clicking the mission name to find and start Ascent.

Step 1: Find Cayde-6 and Crow

Once you’re in the mission, you need to fight your way through until you find Cayde-6 and Crow speaking on the edge of a cliff. They have a conversation about how Crow wished Cayde-6 inside the Traveler. That’s not what’s important, though.

Now you’re here, you need to continue along the main path while keeping an eye out for the ship parts above you. They should be above you to your right on another cliff. You need to go to those ship parts, so as you move forward now, look for paths to the right that will get you to them.

Step 2: fight to the ship parts

As you walk up the cliff, you’ll reach a point on the main path where you must defeat a Harbinger. Kill it, but ignore the blocked path forward through the mission. Instead, turn right and make your way along the edge of the cliff.

Eventually, you’ll encounter new enemies and must fight through them. The ship parts are here, dangling off the edge of the cliff. To get to the Facet of Bravery, you’ve got to jump off the edge of one ship part and then back into the one below. It’s a leap of faith that’s incredibly rewarding.

When added to your Prismatic Subclass, the Facet of Bravery grants volatile rounds to Void weapons when defeating enemies with grenades. Strand weapons gain Unravelling rounds if you finish enemies off with a melee attack.
