Your Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, and Player Personnel have certain abilities. Unlocking and and upgrading these abilities will not only make them better, but you also end up with some big advantages. From having to pay smaller salary packages to developing more talents at the same time, it makes a lot of sense to get your staff upgraded. For that, you need skill points, and let’s find out how they can be achieved.

How to get skill points in Madden 25 Franchise mode

Skill points are an exclusive currency that is pretty easy to locate. They’re visible in the “Manage Staff” section and appear on the top part of the screen, having a bright green color. You can earn them by completing various gameplay tasks. Before a game, you can set certain gameday goals for all your staff members.

For example, your Head Coach might have an objective that requires you to gain 100+ yards in your next game. Similarly, your Defensive Coordinator might ask you to get at least three sacks against your next opponents. While completing a game could get you skill points, it’s best to concentrate on these individual tasks. As you complete them over the span of one or a few games, you’ll keep earning skill points.

While the process might feel slow in the beginning, it’s anything but that. Very soon, you’ll be getting a steady stream of skill points that will allow you to upgrade your coach and other staff members.

  • Unlock a new ability
  • Upgrade an unlocked ability that isn’t at max level

Just press X/A to confirm, and your skill points will be spent to improve your staff member. Now, there’s no right or wrong way to conduct this activity, but here’s a list of the best abilities to consider for upgrades in Franchise mode.
