How to get OST chips in Armored Core 6

Soak up those upgrades

Armored Core 6 is not an easy game in the best of times. Whether you’re stuck on Balteus at the end of Chapter 1 or any of the other mechanized threats you’ll find, you’ll want as much power as you can get. This is where OST chips come in.

To get OST chips in Armored Core 6, you’ll have to defeat enemies in the Arena. While you’ll only have a few fights unlocked at first, more will appear as you progress in the main story. Later fights award more OST chips upon victory, so you should find yourself with a modest sum of chips in no time.

With OST chips on hand, you can visit the OS Tuning section of the garage and invest in some valuable upgrades. These include bonuses to various damage types, as well as extra defenses or added HP recovery from repair kits. You can also grab a Core Expansion that you may equip in your machine’s Expansion slot here as well.

Can you farm OST chips in Armored Core 6?

Unfortunately, OST chips are a one-time deal from the Arena. You can repeat Arena fights, which may help you see how different mech builds play out. Additionally, since these encounters end so quickly, they’re one of the best ways to earn extra money if you need it.

Otherwise, you’ll just have to keep tinkering with your build if the game is giving you trouble. Keep advancing the story, and you’ll keep finding opportunities to earn more OST chips. Eventually, you’ll have enough to unlock a huge amount of upgrades from the OS Tuning menu. So just keep pressing on and you’ll be able to put together the build of your dreams. Assuming, of course, you dream about which Armored Core you want to build next.
