How to get more dwellers in Fallout Shelter

Every vault needs its dwellers.

Every step you take in Fallout Shelter will typically require many hands on deck to survive the enervating dystopian world. Fortunately, dwellers will always come knocking at your vault door initially, that is, until you push through the later stages. So, if no one has been showing up lately, we’ll explain how to get more dwellers in Fallout Shelter.

How to get dwellers fast in Fallout Shelter

To get more dwellers in Fallout Shelter, try the following methods:

  • Assign dwellers to the Living Quarters to get kids
  • Use the Radio Studio
  • Find dwellers while exploring
  • Open Lunchboxes
  • Participate in quests

You can gather more dwellers by doing it the old-fashioned way, aka baby-making. Assign a male and female character to the Living Quarters to get those sparks flying. It’s best to utilize those with high charisma levels, as it works much faster this way. You’ll know when the chemistry is right when the characters begin dancing, which is apparently a mating ritual in Fallout Shelter.

If you have 20 dwellers, you can set up a Radio Studio to possibly lure other dwellers to your vault. Characters with high charisma will once again come in clutch here. However, it may attract unwanted guests to your doorstep, so get those defenses ready just in case.

Another way to acquire more dwellers is through exploration. A character may bring back someone with them when they venture into the Wastelands. Nevertheless, this puts them at risk, so it’s crucial to prepare them with suitable materials. More dwellers can also be earned as a reward from Lunchboxes and quests. I suggest focusing more on the Lunchboxes than the missions since they have a higher rate of dwellers.

Complete various objectives or spend in-game currency to obtain Lunchboxes. Through it, you’ll acquire other valuables, including armor, weapons, pets, and RadAways.

After accumulating more dwellers in Fallout Shelter, ensure enough space is available. This also means having plenty of resources for everyone, as it will get more challenging with the abundant amount of people.
